#225Hectare is a boutique photography outfit, started by Mr Aidan Yeoh in 2005, that provides a wide spectrum of photography services that range from shooting for advertising campaigns and portraitures to fashion spreads and food & product photography.
Driven by an intense passion for photography, Aidan has been pursuing his dream for eight long years, starting out as an assistant photographer at a bridal studio before taking a leap to join a commercial studio where he picked up the rudimentary skills of the trade and learnt how to shoot for different types of fashion, food and products.
With a keen eye on the quirky side of life, and a deep appreciation of the beauty that lies in all things, hidden or understated, he draws his inspiration from muses as diverse as movies and MTV to renowned photographers like Stefano Galuzzi and Sophie Delaporte. In his works and images, you can always find an offbeat sense of quirkiness, playfully imbued with a burst of creativity and spontaneity, evident of his signature style of making fresh, bold statements.
Over the years, he has established an impressive oeuvre, with his works appearing in popular publications such as Men’s Folio, August, Solitaire, Gadget3, Wine & Dine and Teenage. He has also worked on advertising campaigns for customers like Courts, Bioskin, Glajz, Jean Yip, Yu Nam, New York Skin, London Weight, Health Promotion Board (HPB) and C3A.
On top of this, he has also collaborated closely on projects with an exhaustive list of clients: Asia Pacific Breweries (APB), Korean Embassy, National Technological University (NTU), Sembcorp Marine and Singapore Customs. With a firm belief in the need to nurture new blood, he has conducted a series of photography lessons for students from Hwa Chong Institution.
Among his accolades, he was nominated as Asian Top Fashion Photographer of the Year at the Fashion Asia AFMA China in 2009.
